Re: Display Question
Thanks Jeff. I'll turn on Show VOR CDI and see how that works. I'm glad to know that the CDI under the attitude indicator is always GPS. Bob & 330drvr, I'm sure the FD is cool, but it requires the purchase of vertical steering for a Sport from GRT. For as seldom as I do approaches, it's not wort...

Re: Display Question
Hi Jeff & Bob, I do not have an autopilot, GRT or other so A/P Mode doesn't mean much to me. But Nav Mode should change from Green (GPS) to White (VLOC) when I select the CDI button on the 430, correct? Does the 430 have to be receiving a VLOC signal to switch mode, ie if no signal does it stay ...

Display Question
I have two Sport HS displays and a GNS 430. The pfd display shows course deviation beneath the attitude indicator. It is labelled GPS. When I switch my GNS430 to VLOC mode (press the CDI key) the pfd deviation still is labelled GPS. Is it possible for it to display VLOC deviation? GNS430 is connecte...

DEMO names
I usually have DEMO auto start with airspeed. The other day I was trying to get some electrical system data prior to engine start. I manually started DEMO and manually stopped it. But when I examined the data, the name of the file was DEMO 000000.log. Certainly this was because when I started DEMO m...

ADHRS
Reading the manual, if I have two Sport EX displays, both have an adaptive AHRS inside. If I’m using one as PFD and the other as MFD, and the PFD AHRS should fail, it should be the case that the MFD AHRS takes over. Does this require a dedicated serial port on each display or does interdisplay seria...

Re: Fuel flow change
Just an update. I cleaned both FloScans by reversing the flow, ie put the in hose on the out connection and ran fuel thru them for a few minutes. I tried to run the fuel thru a paper towel to see if there was debris but that wasn't very obvious. But after doing this to both FloScans, my fuel flow in...

Serial for Autopilot
I'm thinking about adding GRT AP servos. I have Sport HS EFIS, S200 & S100. My S200 PFD is using one pair of serial for interdisplay link, another for ARINC module, another for EIS in and alt out and the fourth serial in for GPS from GNS430. Can I use the serial ports on the ARINC for autopilot ...

Fuel flow change
I have two Flo Scan transducers for fuel flow, one measures in the other out. It’s worked ok for many years. This season it seems to be about 15% low. The only change was that the engine was off the airframe this winter but all lines were capped. Looking for suggestions on what to check, clean etc? ...

Re: PC Playback of DEMO files?
You can use GRT DeCode. Look on the Misc Software page for DEMO file decoder. Not only is the software there but instructions too. Savvy analysis will decode engine data. Both work pretty well to display data graphically and in spreadsheet. Neither will replicate the cockpit display. I’ve not tried ...

Re: Interface
Thanks Jeff.
I haven't seen any install docs so I'm only guessing that ARINC would be the same.
