details from MAP
I have a single HXr screen (and a backup mini). I would like to access an approach plate from the single screen without having to lose the PFD display. That is, use the right knob to scroll to the target airport, get details then the plate. However, it seems that if the PFD is present the right knob...

Unusual glass panel failure
I recently read a disturbing article on one of my online aviation news letters. It concerned a pilot in a Lancair (I believe) who had a glass panel. He entered IMC and subsequently crashed. It seems that his PFD was showing him straight and level but he was actually turning. I can't find the article...

Traffic alert volume control
Can you control the volume on your HXR traffic alert? I have a NAVWORX in/out ADSb and of course the HXr. I want to decrease the volume as it can be really annoying but also maintain the same volume of the other alert such as oil pressure fuel pressure etc.

Dimming issue and blacked out screens
I experienced an alarming incident today and it was not the result of a failure of either of my GRT displays (HXr and miniAP). However, it points out a potential safety hazard that I bring to your attention. I may find after this post that there is already a solution that I am unaware of. I experien...

Re: % HP and fuel pres
No offense in my question but did you SAVE all settings from the HX and RESTORE them to the HXr? James
Hi James, I had an avionics shop install the HXr. BTW with the help of the GRT techs we got the fuel pres figured out. It was a matter of changing the EIS setting from decimal to i...

% HP and fuel pres
I recently replaced my two HX systems with a HXr and mini AP. Loaded the data on my engine into the system and was surprised to note that I am producing 999% HP on 10.5 gph. Note bad for a IO-390. But seriously I've verified that the data is in the system. I have a GRT EIS which did not change and I...

Re: Hit and miss XM weather display
Go to the set up page for xm, see if it says "aviator Lite" ( quote] Bob, It does say "aviator lite" etc. It seems the data is getting to the grt in that it says it received a radar packet. As an aside I am 99% certain I am going to dump the Wxworks b...

Hit and miss XM weather display
I have XM wx connected to my dual Hx displays. I am getting intermittent displays of the wx data. For example, yesterday I flew down the east coast of Florida where there were severe thunderstorms off the coast. The Stratus ADS-B showed it clearly; the XM wx showed nothing. I went to the Set Up menu...

FEED BACK
I noticed for the first time a tab on the Map Page that says FEED BACK. I didn't try it as I don't want to find out that I just erased my settings or some such.
What does this do?
thx,
Don
