Re: SKYRADAR D2 weather on HX-HS system

I have the same setup as yours only side by side and I don't believe you can connect the skyradar to the HS. I do display the map on the HS and PDF on the HX, I get the syntactic vision that way. If I need to look at the weather, I switch to the map on the HX. It is a bit of hassle but I don't need ...

Re: System Simulation / Practice

For me, practice practice practice. The one equipment that I seem to get more rusty with, is the Garmin 430. The other night I was practicing my approaches and was in need of deleting the flight plan and entering a new destination and it took me another eternity to do just that. I used to have a 430...

Re: V 7 ... audio alerts ...

Thanks for the info, I will give this a shot but I also have to add wiring for the audio alerts which if I am correct, it is pin B24. Do you know what alerts do we get, is it only those alerts that are visual and need to be acknowledged or is it more customizable? And if that is the case, would it k...

Re: V 7 ... audio alerts ...

Can you please add a bit of details as how to get the alert setup and working. I saw little instructions on their site, only that it needs to be copied in a directory named alert. I am not sure if the USB will need to remain in place or if it would copy it from that directory. Also any settings need...

Alarm for deployed Flap

I was wondering if there is an alarm for the flap if it is deployed above the safe speed for flaps? If not, I think this would be a useful feature and since have all the parameters (flap speed, flap position) there ought to be way to add this function.

Thanks

Adaptive AHARs

I saw a new product on GRT, Adaptive AHAR and I was wondering how is that different than the regular AHAR that they have been selling. Also, what is the upgrade path from the regular dual-AHAR to this new adaptive AHAR.

Thanks

Re: ADS-B Traffic from Sky Radar

Hi Bob, I will see if I can take half a day off on Friday to be there at 4, otherwise will check for another time for your availability. I also look forward to see your RV10. I have always admired those and have contemplated changing to a RV10. My cell phone is 530-417-5713 and direct e-mail is mmeh...

Re: ADS-B Traffic from Sky Radar

Just out of curiosity, what kind of antenna are you guys using if not the one that is provided by Sky Radar? I have installed two separate blade antenna in the wing root area. One is 978 MHZ and the other one 1090MHZ and with these I can pick up ground stations even on the ground.

Re: ADS-B Traffic from Sky Radar

DJ, I have ADS-B out via Garmin 330 ES. One other info, which might add to the puzzle, I saw my own shadow all the time prior to Wingx adding the functioanlity of filtering myself. I think a swap of units should prove what is the issue but since at least two people with the similar setup (you and Bo...

Re: ADS-B Traffic from Sky Radar

I appreciate the offer and if you don't mind, I take you on that. Mine is rather easy to disconnect and move. BTW, I did talk to Skyradar and they said to use their own app to confirm if some thing was wrong with the box and seemed to be willing to take care of it. Weekends works best for me to come...
