Re: details from MAP

I have a request in for the upper right-hand knob and the four "remote" buttons to have the OPTION of being repurposed to provide "MAP page functions" when there are no "remote" devices. Then you would have "DIRECT TO", "WPT DETAILS" and other functions readily available when in the SPLIT SCREEN mod...

Re: % HP and fuel pres

I recently replaced my two HX systems with a HXr and mini AP. Loaded the data on my engine into the system and was surprised to note that I am producing 999% HP on 10.5 gph. Note bad for a IO-390. But seriously I've verified that the data is in the system. I have a GRT EIS which did not change and ...

Re: AOA Pitot

Will a Dynon AOA Pitot work with a Sport HS EFIS running software 8i to give AOA information? If so, where are the calibration instructions? Thanks Jim I think that you need an EFIS that supports the "Adaptive AHRS" + the AoA Module *or* a MINI with the AoA Module if you want MEASURED AoA (AoA prob...

Re: Engine Temps Page

Thanks Jeff, will give it a go, sure hope it works. Thanks much! Bert Also Bert, To add to what Jeff said, if you have the "MAX" set to say 5 gallons for the bar graph then it won't seem to move until you are nearing empty. You probably already knew this but I just wanted to highlight it. (I have h...

Not knocking your request but just FYI ...
The Dynon unit works.
And I think Jeff said that the Garmin unit does as well.

Re: TT22 and Garmin 4x0W software

It's in the November 2015 releases: HXr software version 4, HX software version 8, SX software version 12a, and Mini software version 2a. The "Garmin ADS-B" GPS Input option supports the original and the plus version if your TT22 has updated firmware. OOOPPPSS!!! I thought that I had updated the Tr...

Re: AOA Pitot

The Garmin AOA probe is the only one we've tested and recommend. Other probes should work if they have the same port configuration: a standard pitot port straight out the front and an AOA port below it, generally offset by 45 degrees. Jeff, I have successfully tested the Dynon probe. I forgot to te...

Re: SKYRADAR D2 weather on HX-HS system

The USB port on the HS is limited to USB flash drives, so a SkyRadar D2 can't connect to it. The SkyRadar DX is the only model with a serial output that can connect to an HS, on a high speed port. The FDS unit has serial out. The iLevil units have serial **AND** USB out. (I use the iLevil2 AW in my...

Re: Interval Alarm?

Is there an alarm I can set for every 30 minutes for tank swapping? Would anyone have a suggestion for angling my HX screen? It's on the right side and I like to keep the engine temps page up when flying. Would love to have it angled more toward me on the left. Does someone make an angled bezel, or...

Re: More Serial Ports

I love (almost) everything about the mini. I am realizing though in my planning how limiting it is having only two serial ports. I don't know but I suspect that the dedicated trig transponder interface is really a pre-configured serial port. Isn't there any way to unwrap that and make it another se...
