You can use GRT DeCode. Look on the Misc Software page for DEMO file decoder. Not only is the software there but instructions too. Savvy analysis will decode engine data. Both work pretty well to display data graphically and in spreadsheet. Neither will replicate the cockpit display. I’ve not tried ...
I have a GNS430 connected to my Sport HS using RS232 and ARINC. I'm considering upgrading to a separate GPS (GPS 175) and Nav-Comm (GNC255). With the 430 I use the CDI button to switch between GPS and VORLOC mode. With two independent units how does the EFIS "know" to use the Nav-Comm ARIN...

Jeff, I just reread this old thread. I recently spent several days in Canada and missed having weather available since I now use ADSB. Are the XM features supported today the same as stated above? Do you support Canada weather? Is lightning, either ADSB or XM, available today on my Sport HS? If I us...
Thanks Jeff. I’ve managed to purchase a Mobile Link and it works with the WxWorxs receiver that came with my old GRT XM setup. Now I have XM on my iPad, both in FltPlnGO and also with Baron’s standalone product. WxWorx website is being redone so you purchase Mobile Link directly from Baron, $200. Bu...
I've recently returned from a trip to Canada and last week to North Fox Island. In both situations ADSB was not available. I still have my GRT XM setup, the WxWorx receiver and GRT processor. I would prefer not to disconnect/remove my ADSB In (Stratux) when I need XM. I have a Sport HS EFIS, so I'm ...

While assisting a friend with calibration of his Princeton probes, we noticed that the values were changing as the battery voltage dropped. We later checked with Todd at Princeton and learned the probe will operate correctly as long as the supply voltage is 11 volts or more. We completed the calibra...

Hi Jeff, "The HS models need several ADS-B updates to get the number of towers, stable traffic for newer receivers, and changes to work better with the Stratux. We won't be able to complete those changes until some time after Oshkosh." Any update on when this may happen? Thanks Jim Butcher
An update. I found that when I disconnected the return Floscan sensor, the EIS fuel flow was about what I expected, 40 GPH. When I had the supply Floscan disconnected and the return Floscan connected, the EIS fuel flow showed 0. The problem eventually turned out to be a loose connection on the dSub ...
I have an EIS feeding my Sport HS displays. The engine is a Rotax 914 so I have two Floscan transducers. It has worked fine for years. I just did 100 hr maintain on engine and wiggled some wires near the Floscans. Test flight after was normal but next flight had low fuel flow. When I looked at the D...
