Flight Path Marker and waypoint markers on PFD

The waypoint markers were added to the HX a year or so ago and they are great. What are they called? (I call them 'lolipops') They provide both lateral and vertical guidance to the next waypoint on a flight plan. What else can you tell me about how they work? Re: Is 'clock power' required or just desirable?

I have disco'd the clock power lines and taken a few flights. Didn't miss it a bit. All is fine now. Having (3) HXs installed, and therefore 3 clock power lines, I think the draw was just too much for my battery. Is 'clock power' required or just desirable?

Recently, went I had left clock power disconnected, it seemed that the system retained the correct time, or at least picked it up from the GPS ...

Re: TAS

I don't recommend replacing IAS with TAS in the airspeed tape either (actually, you can't do it anyway) for the same reason Bob wrote. TAS can be displayed on the PFD, however. In the Horizon, go to Primary Flight Display page in the Set Menu. You can configure one of the data fields to show TAS. I...
