Re: lat/vert modes when engage AP
Don, You are correct that there is a certain amount of button pushing. That is the price for all the capability. I have a Trio but controlling it from the HX should be the same as yours. 1. Push the right hand knob (knob, not button) once. This asks for the desired altitude (enter with right knob) a...

Re: Erratic RPM
I'm assuming RPM #1 works okay? If so, I'd pull the pins at the EIS connector and swap rpm 1 and 2. If the problem stays with rpm 2, the EIS has a problem, call grt. If the problem now moves to rpm 1, the issue is with the wiring. You're looking for an intermittant connection. Look hard at the crimp...

Re: Female D-sub Pin Out
It's for a second flo scan sensor. On fuel injected TCM engines lots of gas is pumped to the controller, and the excess goes back to the tank thru a return line. So you need a flo scan on both lines, and the EIS takes the difference to get the net fuel being used. Lycomings don't have a return line,...

Ron,
Why not put the HX on top so you can use the synthetic vision?

Tap into the 4.8 volts from the EIS for both sensors.

#2. You need 2 resistors, one for each tank. Otherwise left and right will read the same.

Re: RV 10 and HXr
Of course even if it does fit there then the main AI will be off to the right, not in front of you. Some people don't care for that. Quite a few people have cut down (removed part of the bottom) of the rib which is right in front of the pilot's nose, to make EFIS's fit there, centered in front of th...

Re: RAIM
Okay, I looked at the GRT accessories page (it had been a while) and I see they do say one gps unit will do RAIM checks, although not ifr certified. So either use the FAA web site, or your Garmin, to do a "RAIM check". Remember that you are just looking at a prediction of whether or not su...

Re: Garmin GDL39 and HXr
If you look under "support", "other equipment", "ADS-B", I do not see Garmin listed as a supported device. Not surprising, they tend to not share with others. Grt recommends the Skyradar D2 at this time, for The HXr.

Re: RAIM
Since no one has answered, I will try. Do you really mean RAIM? This is when the gps receiver uses extra satellites to derive extra position solutions. If they don't all agree then it issues a warning that something is wrong. RAIM is required for a TSO. But the gps units sold by GRT do not have TSO ...
