Is there a way to have a "Boost Pump On" indication somewhere on the EFIS? I somehow had it in my mind that it would do so and didn't wire an indicator light. The systems is:
VPX
EIS 4000
Dual HX

Re: Compensation for limited float range
Makes sense. I will set the EFIS to indicate 17 gallons. Thanks for all your help with this. Hope to be joining you on the weekend fly-ins soon.

Compensation for limited float range
Hi folks, I am finishing up an RV 8. 21 Gallon tanks, EIS 4000 GRT Hx system. I calibrated the fuel tanks over the weekend. Started seeing float movement at about 1.5 gallons. Stopped moving about 17.5 gallons. I programmed per the GRT instructions and all is well except that it show full as 17 gall...

Problem solved
I talked with Bob Wednesday. He asked a couple of really good questions, one of which was, are you sure that was a 470 ohm and not a 470K ohm resistor. Went back and checked. Sure enough. 470K. After diving into my panel and changing out the resistors, everything works as advertised. This would be f...

Fuel tank sensor--the Agony
Hi all, I have been trying to calibrate my fuel tank sensors and am running into a wall. THe set-up is as follows: RV 8, EIS 4000 into dual Hx system. Resistive float sensors, standard Van's. This is wired per instructions. Left tank is Aux3, right tank is Aux4. 3SF set to 100, 3Off to 0, sensing to...

How to get an Aux Voltage indicatiion
Hi folks, I have a dual electronic ignition and so have a secondary battery to power it. I would like to be able to see that battery's voltage on my engine page. The set up is: EIS 4000, dual HX, VPX. I have a sensor wire going into the VPX so on that page you can see the voltage of the aux battery....

Wiring Questions: OAT, Warning Lamp
Hi folks, I am about to finish up a couple of wiring details and was scratching my head. The OAT probe is going in the right wing of an RV 8, near an access panel. I had originally planned to ground it locally and run the wire to the EIS. I noted in re-reading the literature, that they suggest twist...
