Re: Low Voltage

A question of clarification ... Bob, Are you saying that you are seeing only .1 volt difference in the EFIS V1, V2,V3 and actual battery voltage???? I need to go back and check mine as I *think* that mine has always been a lot bigger difference. Not disputing. Just checking to verify. Thanks! James

Re: Low Voltage

No.

Sounds normal to me.

The units have diodes (and probably other stuff) inside to make it possible for them to be feed from multiple power sources.

A .4 volt drop across a diode is not out of the ordinary.

Press on!

Re: Garmin and GRT ADSB

Bob, I was thinking in terms of the 2020 mandate; i.e., ADSB in/out. If I get the GDL 88 I assume it will show up on the GTN 650 but I'd like the display linked to the GRT Hx like the current TIS traffic (GTX 330 -> GRT Hx). Hopefully GRT is working that issue with Garmin. Many of us wish(ed) that ...

katieb wrote:For a WS or HS, you'd need to have an ADS-B receiver that uses an RS-232 serial link. The FreeFlight XPLORER and NavWorx units will both do it.
Serial also available from:

Re: USB Questions

DJ I know that the Startech unit requires power I have one and yes it has terminals for the power supply. I want to know why GRT is sending USB hubs that does not include the special power supply plug in, it does not have wire terminals! James Somewhere I read for Seattle Avionics to work, the thum...

Re: USB Questions

If you use a HUB, it will apply to ONLY the unit to which it is connected.

DEVICES that consume power and extra ports are the reasons for the HUBS.

One 16 or 32GB memory stick can hold ALL of the data you will have and record everything you need.

The extension can be plugged into the hub.

Re: 430W Software update

Excuse me if this is sounds overly obvious to you but ...

Any chance the update changed the default baud rate on the 430?

If you look at Serial 7 IN on the HXr do you have a byte count?

Just thinking out loud.

Re: Log Files

Take a look at www.savvyanalysis.com

I think that it does what you are requesting for the "DEMO" files.

Re: Configuring Trig T22

When inputting (in the HXr Trig-22 set up page) the GPS, it asks for the "level of Certification". Choices are A, B or C. What are these choices referring to (ie: which do I pick? ( have a GNS480)? Per Trig documentation... 6.1.10 GPS Certification Level An important metric for ADS-B grou...

Re: Flight Data Systems

Flight Data Systems has an ADSB unit that is advertised as being supported by GRT. Is this true? Or wishful thinking? http://www.fdatasystems.com/pathfinder-remote/ Tom Lewis It is TRUE. I flight tested the "Remote" model via serial port on an SX prior to its release/announcement. James
