Re: ADSB Display
The Release Notes mention this addition. "Count and display# of ADS-B Ground Stations" They used to display just the word "TRAFFIC". I, and I presume others, requested the letters "ADS-B" when appropriate and requested adding the number of ground stations. This was very...

Re: Ghost Image
You have to enter your N number and mode S hex code, just as you described in your previous post. But until 2020 this may not always be enough. The issue happens if the data uplink is based on data from FAA radar (which does not have your N number) when you are out of range of an ADSB ground statio...
Re: Air Speed
No, IAS plus or minus wind does not equal ground speed, it is true airspeed plus minus wind equals ground speed. Try this: slowly circle and watch the gps ground speed, highest is straight tail wind, slowest is headwind. Fly a straight line into the wind, let ground speed stabilize, write it down. ...
Re: Air Speed
Try this simple test. 1. Go flying and notice IAS, TAS, "Headwind" or "Tailwind" component. "OAT" and "Ground Speed". (Be sure to turn this on and and show all components.) 2. IAS + "Tailwind" = "Ground Speed"???? 3. IAS - "Headwind&qu...

Re: Move Traffic Box Slightly in HX
If formation flying, I would suggest the wingman squawk standby. Actually, if you are a WINGMAN, you should have no idea/no worry as to airspeed or altitude. On the other hand, if you are LEAD, then those items are critically important and you are most likely the one that has transponder squawking....

Re: Version 10 sw upgrade for the Sport SX
Keep in mind that the Trig can be used without the remote connection. I did some of the original testing using the Trig TT-22 with the 2 1/4" control head and the SkyRadar for ADS-B weather and traffic. The control head that fits in the small panel holes has the encoder built into it as well. W...

Re: Sectional view on Hx?
Nice catch.
Demo, obvious done on "in house", on not-yet-released-BETA-or-something-software that many hope to see soon.

Re: Flight Planning On PFD
I think that this is a GREAT idea!! Even though I have **multiple** SX screens, I have thought about this. I suspect that the real issue is one of just how would you lay something out in the same space say as the engine strip at the bottom. Something that was intuitive to use. The time when you need...

Re: HX Radar
feature enabled only if XM is present?  Ahhhh ... Not sure which feature you are referencing BUT ... You will be able to see NEXRAD Radar **without** XM (via ADS-B). Using several different receivers. (I did the initial ADS-B testing about a year ago) What you do not get, at leas...

Re: ATIS Frequencies
Michael You can find the frequency information on the flight plan page after selecting the airport or navaid identifier that you are looking for. You can also find them off the map page if you use the right knob to pull up the details for an airport target on the map. And also ... If you have an ai...
