Re: HX Radar
Thanks! I have working Navworx serial port and "Traffic" icon displayed. I just wasn't sure what to do from there. The addition info you supplied should really help. I did find METARs under the MAP->NEAREST->METARs screen, but I'd sure rather see color coded info displayed on the MAP scre...

Re: HX Radar
If all the connections are working (do you see a byte count on the serial port to which the NavWorx is connected??) then you should not need to do much more. Make sure the input device type is set properly (Navworx) On MAP page go to "SHOW" and select RADAR or NONE. With RADAR you should s...

Re: DUAL ADSB hook up
The HUB that you have should have Ports 1-4 as INPUTS and Port 0 as OUTPUT. It should include a cable with a unique end on it that will ONLY go to Port 0. The other end of this cable goes into the EFIS. The DUAL (or any other compatible ADS-B receiver) is connected to any one of the four INPUT ports...

Re: General Setup - Flight ID & Address
I noticed in the General Setup entries for Flight ID & Address. I could not find anything in the manual for documentation on these settings. Is the Flight ID the N-number of aircraft, and, Address the Mode S code assigned to airplane (hex on octal?) for ADS-B? Thanks. See this from GRT; http://...

Re: Sport HS vs Sport SX
I really don''t have any complaints for my Sport HS. I'm in Florida (the flattest state) so cannot rationalize SV. I would like XM wx but I need to go to the Horizon to get that. At least, that's my understanding. Tailwinds, Buzz You might want to double check that. I am pretty sure that XM weather...

Re: Sport SX 9D - ADS-B
Connect a SkyRadar or a Dual ADS-B receiver and you have weather NOW. If you have SkyRadar D2 you will get 1090ES traffic direct and UAT (978mhz) traffic from ground stations if you or someone very nearby has "ADS-OUT". If you have the Dual it receives only the UAT (978 MHz) traffic assumi...

Re: Recommended USB hub?
For the initial "Alpha" and "Beta" testing of the SkyRadar units for ADS-B, I used the POWERED hubs listed below. <I have multiple Sport SX units.> Since the Sport units have only one USB port (NOT high current), and I wanted a way to have the ADS-B and Memory Stick plugged in at...

Re: sport ws and adsb in
Don't know if you can swing it but I think that it is REALLY worth it to do the upgrade to the SX. Resolution Speed Functionality I have XM weather on an x96 and have had it for years. I did the original "beta" testing of SkyRadar on GRT + Powered Hub on my Sport SX. I was totally surprise...

SkyRadar + Trig
Installed SkyRadar (D2) and Trig TT-22 in my RV6 (3 SX Screens). <Since this is NOT an HXr installation, I use the control head from Trig ... with its built in encoder.> Glad that GRT is integrating 3rd party "off the shelf" products in a way that does not tie me to a particular supplier. ...
