Can someone tell me if I need to have the engine running when I complete my AHRS fine calibration run?
Thanks,
Howard

Point me to the right manual for display tailoring
Folks, Can someone point me to the best set of documents, or other web sites (e.g., Vansforce.net threads?) on how to do display setup tailoring of all the graphics, round dials, limits, etc. to align with the aircraft and engine specifications? The 2009 HX manual has some...but it's dated. I pulled...

Kudos to Ben Krotje! Awesome Support !!!
Guys, I spent about an hour yesterday with Ben Krotje, Tech support and wanted to do a shout out for his excellent support! I had a number of questions on setup of my dual HX and EIS4000 system, integrating with a GTN650, SL30, and Trig Avionics TT-22 & TC20. Ben knows his stuff and helped me to...

Re: HX Analog Input Sharing? What to wire to EFIS 2 as well
Thanks Bob. I don't have any critical inputs either...so looks like I'll only wire them to EFIS #1.

HX Analog Input Sharing? What to wire to EFIS 2 as well?
Guys, In the Installation manual (Rev A, Feb 2009) page 9-1 it states that an HX will share all inputs with another HX over the Ethernet link, including Weather. Right now I'm using a number of Analog inputs for my EFIS HX #1 and have wired them to the "B" connector. I have NOT wired any t...

Re: Female D-sub Pin Out
GRTBen, When you say Fuel Flow Return....is this for fuel injected engines? Can you elaborate more? Or is this related to the FloScan Sensor? It doesn't seem to be since the 3 wires there are: FloScan RED = EIS Pin 13, Connector A (+12V Regulated Power, EIS RED/GREEN wire) WHITE = EIS Pin 14, Connec...

Re: Can I used EIS GND Pin 1 as GND for Resistive Fuel Sende
As a follow up for others who may have this same question. GRT Support did confirm I can use the EIS ground (Connector A, Pin # 1) as a ground as well for the Rochester Resistive Fuel sending units. It's actually better to use the EIS ground to minimize any voltage differential when the measurement ...

Re: Can an AUX input be put on a switch? (CS-01, CS-02)
As a follow up....I spoke with Mark from GRT EFIS support and he said I could use the same ground and EIS Excitation output from the EIS for the CS-02 wires. Then just send the Green - Output from CS-02 over to the HX EFIS Analog input.
Thanks GRT Support!

Re: Can an AUX input be put on a switch? (CS-01, CS-02)
Thanks Ben! That helps. I also discussed with Carlos today and he said I could use one of the analog inputs to my EFIS HX display as well....since I had run out of AUX inputs on the EIS. He stated to set it up in the EFIS configuration as an "EIS Compatible Input" and then it would allow m...

Can I used EIS GND Pin 1 as GND for Resistive Fuel Sender?
GRT Support, I'm using a couple of Rochester Resistive Float-Type Fuel Level Sender (30-240 ohm). In wiring this can you advise on my two questions below? 1) Can I use the EIS Ground from connector A, Pin 1 as a ground for the Rochester gauge ground? I'm running a twisted pair wire from the gauge do...
