Re: XM Wx Question
Thanks Jeff. I’ve managed to purchase a Mobile Link and it works with the WxWorxs receiver that came with my old GRT XM setup. Now I have XM on my iPad, both in FltPlnGO and also with Baron’s standalone product. WxWorx website is being redone so you purchase Mobile Link directly from Baron, $200. Bu...

XM Wx Question
I've recently returned from a trip to Canada and last week to North Fox Island. In both situations ADSB was not available. I still have my GRT XM setup, the WxWorx receiver and GRT processor. I would prefer not to disconnect/remove my ADSB In (Stratux) when I need XM. I have a Sport HS EFIS, so I'm ...

Re: Princeton Capacitive fuel probe programming / calibratio
While assisting a friend with calibration of his Princeton probes, we noticed that the values were changing as the battery voltage dropped. We later checked with Todd at Princeton and learned the probe will operate correctly as long as the supply voltage is 11 volts or more. We completed the calibra...

Re: Stratux ADS-B Reeceiver
Hi Jeff, "The HS models need several ADS-B updates to get the number of towers, stable traffic for newer receivers, and changes to work better with the Stratux. We won't be able to complete those changes until some time after Oshkosh." Any update on when this may happen? Thanks Jim Butcher

Re: Fuel Flo Problem
An update. I found that when I disconnected the return Floscan sensor, the EIS fuel flow was about what I expected, 40 GPH. When I had the supply Floscan disconnected and the return Floscan connected, the EIS fuel flow showed 0. The problem eventually turned out to be a loose connection on the dSub ...

Fuel Flo Problem
I have an EIS feeding my Sport HS displays. The engine is a Rotax 914 so I have two Floscan transducers. It has worked fine for years. I just did 100 hr maintain on engine and wiggled some wires near the Floscans. Test flight after was normal but next flight had low fuel flow. When I looked at the D...

Re: AOG Dead Screen AHRS
Thanks Jeff.
I just looked at an old DEMO file that I decoded with GRT DeCode, and notice there is an internal temp column, but the data is all 0s. Is there a way to view internal temp from the DEMO file?
Jim

AOG Dead Screen AHRS
My PFD stopped working shortly after takeoff. First the bottom of the PFD turned black, then the entire display had lots of horizontal lines first white then yellow. Powered off and back on, no change. Diverted to nearby airport. While in route turned on vent fan since glareshield felt hot and a few...

Re: Altitude Encoding
Thanks Jeff and Bob. It looks like I will be fine as I have it configured.
This information would be useful in the GRT Equipment Supplements document. I had no idea that my GRT would have the accuracy to use the higher resolution setting in the ESG.

Altitude Encoding
I have had my Sport HS EFIS providing altitude information to my GNS430 and GTX327 using the Fuel/Air Data Z Format for many years. I have now replaced the GTX327 with an Appareo ESG transponder. It does not accept the Fuel/Air Data Z Format. I found that if I use the Trimble/Garmin encoding altimet...
