Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
Bill, you’re right. If the TT, by itself, runs okay, that should rule out loose brackets. This is another guess you could try fairly easily: for my Trio, I switch all 3 lines (ARINC pair, plus serial) when going from direct gps to autopilot, to HX to autopilot. I don’t think TT recommends that, but ...

I presume you’ve looked at the autopilot to aileron push rod mechanical connection, for any possible slop or wear? Or the autopilot mount, loose bolt?

Bill, if you go to the VAF post you made today; look about 5 or 6 posts earlier in that thread; you’ll see my post with my HX settings for the Trio. Some are quite different than 100%.

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
I have a TRIO - HX - G420W in an RV10. Works absolutely great.
If you want the settings I use I can go out to the airport and copy them. I have no idea how similar or different the settings should be for a TT.

Re: fuel Quantity calibration
I think you want reverse sensing.
Certainly, left and right should behave the same. Is one on reverse, the other forward? Both pull up resistors on?

Re: Interface
I have a Horizon but it’s probably the same. Push the right hand button to bring up all the button labels. On the (I think) second from the right button you see labels for VOR-Loc#1, GPS#1, etc. Select the nav source you want. You must have your current setup set to ‘auto switch with Garmin CDI butt...

What is the Hirizon 10.1 shown on the Sun ‘N Fun page?
Re: ARINC 429
Completely off-topic: If you have a 420W (WAAS), and if you think you might want to install ADSB-out sometime later: While you're inside the rear connector on the 420W for the Sport hook up, install a pin and 6 feet of wire to an unused RS232 out port (later it will supply gps data to the ADSB-out)....

Re: HXr-GTN650-TruTrak Help Needed
Saw your reply on vaf, glad it works. I think what’s going on is the efis doesn’t have the holding pattern data, only the gps does. In GNAV mode that data is passed thru directly to the autopilot.

Re: HXr-GTN650-TruTrak Help Needed
I have a Trio, not a TT, so slightly different. When controlling the autopilot from the EFIS, I never touch the autopilot, other than to turn it on and engage the servos. The Trio defaults to ARINC inputs. I think with the TT you may have to tell it, somehow, to use the ARINC inputs. Put the autopil...
