Re: Manifold Pressure Issue
Afif, Is the manifold pressure reading the same on your EIS and your HXr? Is your EIS located in the rear near your engine? Does the manifold pressure change on it when you turn on the alternator? You say the reading is normal at 22.2. That seems pretty low to me. Is that on the ground (what is the ...

Re: Two Wire CHT Leads on Rotax 912 & Legacy 3
Skot, The Legacy 3 EIS has two CHT inputs. Usually with a Rotax, GRT supplies a ring style CHT sensor which you attach to the cylinder head using the temp sensor supplied by Rotax like a bolt. You can also just take out the Rotax sensors and use metric bolts to attach the ring style thermocouples. G...

Re: Stratux ADS-B Reeceiver
Sometimes I get a"Serial 4 input missing" message indicating that my Stratux isn't communicating with my Sport HS. Today that was a problem since there was a lot of weather and the EFIS was not communicating with Stratux (the input counter was not changing) so I had no weather display. I h...

Re: Oil Tank Fluid Level
John,
If you have a spare aux input available on your EIS, it wouldn't be all that difficult to use that and make Low Oil appear on your Sport screen. Let me know if you need help.

Re: Set Limits Problem
Jim, I have the same problem with the display being difficult to read. I recall someone at GRT telling me the cause is not releasing both buttons simultaneously when entering the Settings Pages. I think the problem has gotten worse with time (my EIS is about 10 years old). What I do now is power up ...

Re: Oil Tank Fluid Level
John, I found in my Lockwood Rotax catalog (p 34 582 oil injection tank) that the tank is equipped with a 956 360 oil level indicator. When I searched on the Lockwood site, it appears that part number is a switch that is actuated by the oil level. If you call Lockwood, they can verify that. Probably...

Re: Oil Tank Fluid Level
John, You can use any of the available fuel quantity devices to measure oil level. I use a pressure transducer to measure fuel qty. You could do that, for example look at the Belite fuel qty sensor, even a float sensor might work. The Belite measures pressure relative to ambient pressure so your oil...

Re: EIS AltCor: Calibrating the Altimeter/Barometric Pressur
I think what you are to do is this: Press the Left & Center button to get to the Settings pages. Scroll thru (right button) and set the Baro to the local baro setting. Then press the right button to get out of Settings pages. Then go to the Config Pages To access the “Configuration Set” pages, p...
Re: AOA Pitot
Will a Dynon AOA Pitot work with a Sport HS EFIS running software 8i to give AOA information? If so, where are the calibration instructions?
Thanks

Re: Stratux ADS-B Reeceiver
I just flew this afternoon using Stratux to display traffic and weather on my Sport HS EFIS. It works fine! I am using a serial port on the EFIS (not USB) and followed the instructions in the new Stratux Supplement. I am using a Chipi-X Cable USB to RS232 dongle from DigiKey . I made an adapter cabl...
