The new release is suppose to have the ability to have a com radio input on a serial input so that a person can have dual coms with a HXr system per Greg & Todd so that my system will work!!

DJ I know that the Startech unit requires power I have one and yes it has terminals for the power supply. Eric Your idea of one power feed and suppling both units if fine but, You might want to consider to supply your EFIS and AHRS via two power inputs since you have a E bus. We have been working on this issue, The HXr does not have enough serial ports to hook up all the componets that is capable of being pluged into the HXr. Such as the Coms, Navs, XNPD, Audio and so on.
