Re: CS-01 Current Sensor installation
1. You don't say what aircraft you have, but most aircraft draw a lot more than a couple of amps. 2. Placing the sensor on the battery lead, you will measure the current draw of the avionics and lights only when the alternator is off line. When the alternator is running, you will see the battery cha...

Re: TAS
As Jeff said, at gross weight and 1g loading, the aircraft will stall at a certain indicated (actually calibrated, to be precise) airspeed, regardless of altitude or temperature. Vne is much more complicated. For many aircraft it is set to provide a 10% speed margin from flutter. There are many poss...

Re: Problem with fuel level setup.
First, a caution. You normally should not have your multimeter on 'ohms' if the circuit is powered up. Is the ground side of the sensor connected to a good airframe ground? Do not rely on the screws that hold it in place. Otherwise: What voltages do you read at the sender? With the sender arm at the...

Re: USB stick compatibility
I have always used a Mac to load the data files onto a stick for my HS and HX. No issues so far.

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?
Yes, that is most likely what you saw. Pushing OBS locks the waypoint, the gps will not automatically sequence to the next waypoint, even if you fly past it. And it will act just like a VOR centered at that waypoint, you will get to and from indications just like a VOR. And the selected radial and i...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?
Sorry Bill I was not clear. It is now legal to use a TSO 145 or 146 (WAAS) GPS for IFR without VOR backup. But I am not sure if it is a legal gps installation without the GPS OBS function. You need to look in the 430W installation manual and see if it requires a working OBS input for an ifr installat...

Re: GPSS, WS H1,GRT A/P, 430W, ARINC?
You could look at upgrading your TT to the VSGV model. Then, with the source switch on 430 (and arinc wiring going from 430 thru the switch to the TT) it should follow all the 430's commands, including holding patterns. You would need to switch back to the efis for ILS approaches, of course. But you...

Actually I am surprised you can set the OBS (either VOR or GPS) without an ARINC link.

Re: LPV/ILS checklists
Comments: On ils checklist points 12 and 14 are the same. 14 is the correct sequence, delete 12 Destination airport has to be in the active flight plan, you do not need to use "direct to" (but that works, too). Press grt Missed button anytime at OR BEFORE the MAP. If pressed before you wil...
