ADSB REceiver.......... Bluetooth / wiFi???

Post by Sparky »

The plane has dual HX displays and an Trig T22 transponder which xmits ADSB out ONLY, and a WxWorx-XM weather receiver via USB to 1 screen.. XM is just too expensive for the subscriptions and want to use an ADSB rec for traffic & weather.

The "Pathfinder Remote" uses both rs232 and wifi. Can the HX rec. via WiFi

Is there another ADSB receiver that uses a USB out like the WxWorx ?

I have a 'Skyradar D2' ADSB-in. USB connection to the HX, WiFi to the iPad (both WingX and Skyradars' software work with it). I bought some coax extensions with SMA connectors to extend the antennas up to the foberglass door posts in my -10, and I hid the box behind a panel. Works great, I usually have a half dozen ground stations. I got mine from Skyradar as a factory reburbished for $500, and ditched my xm subscription.
Still waiting for GRT software upgrade to display TFRs, although they do show on WingX so it's not urgent for me.
