Hi all,

Does anyone know how to figure out what size CF card is installed in their horizon 1 WS units without opening them up? Also was reading someone's website where they upgraded the 32MB factory card to a bigger 1GB card. Anyone on here done this? Does it help and is it worthwhile? Memory cards are much cheaper now than when these units originally came out...

The Horizon WS/HS units do not come with a CF card. The CF card (with adapter) is an add-on for internal terrain data and other databases like state outlines, roads, water, and places. These databases can also be used directly from a USB flash drive. With the exception of the north east quarter of the globe, you can fit all of the databases you need in 32MB. A larger card would only give you room for future databases, which aren't in the current plans.
