GRT Avionics

Posting this message here to make a request of GRT's terrific engineering team to enable audio alarms for HS / WS users. This feature was recently released for HX users in Release 7. Although we've recently received a software release for our legacy units (thanks, GRT!) I was disappointed to see that audio alerts were not included in this release.

Since some of those audio alerts include AOA and decision height warnings, this becomes a safety of flight issue. I would be happy if we had access to only a very limited number of audio alarms if memory usage is a concern. Perhaps it could be as simple as "Caution Caution" alarm as a master caution for engine parameters etc, and the AOA and Decision Height alarms. If we had to limit alarms those would cover off the highest-priority items.

If other users feel likewise, please chime in.

The WS and HS have a completely different audio system from the HX. The work is not as simple as turning the audio on. It's currently a very low priority and there's no timeline.
