Hi Jeff,
That is a bit disheartening. I was hoping you would find a glaring problem with 4.2.2 along with an equally obvious and easy fix... :-)

A test app might be useful for troubleshooting. Any feedback is better than none, which is what I have to work with at present.

Other than allowing the OS to install from untrusted sources, is there any other security setting that needs to be changed?

Any other thoughts on what I can try? I wish I had another Android tablet that I could borrow to test with, but I don't.

Are there any diagnostics or logs on the HX that I can look at?

Thanks,

-Dj

As a test I just tried doing a factory reset, wiping the tablet clean, and starting from scratch. Reloaded the GRT app, re-paired the tablet and the EFIS. It pairs just fine, but the app always says link lost, even letting it sit there for several minutes with it running.

If anyone has thoughts as to anything else I might try, please share.

Thanks,

-Dj

I borrowed a Samsung tablet from a friend in our EAA Chapter, running 4.2.2. Works fine, no issues. So apparently there is something specific with the Asus Meno Pad HD 7 that is not compatible with the GRT App. Too bad because otherwise it is a nice tablet.

I will try to sell this one and buy a Nexus 7.

Okay, new Nexus 7 works fine using Android 4.3 that it came with, and also Android 4.4.2 that it upgraded to shortly after enabling the Wifi connection.
