EIS 6000 oat input

Post by Sinfield »

Hi
I have a EIS 6000 and also have a Dynon D100 with a Dynon OAT sensor. Is it possible to jump a wire from that sensor to the gray wire on the daub and use/display the data from the dynon OAT? This would save me having to buy and install 2 oat sensors..

Short answer, no. The probe needs a bias current supplied thru a known (internal to the EIS or Dynon) resistor, sometimes called a "pull down" resistor. If you parallel the Dynon and the EIS you will also parallel those bias resistors and the built in calibrations will be way off.
