Fan ventilation for servos

My both roll and pitch servos are in a tight stick control bay of my Mustang2. It makes for a super tidy installation, but as I'm doing testing now, I'm concerned about heating/overheating. I have no actual data to indicate an overheating problem, just doing the thought engineering.

I have room to install a small 60mm computer fan, something like this (or less CFM) that would blow into the bay.....

QU: Can I pick off power from the servos to run such a fan, so that it comes on when the servos are activated? Id use a diode in the power line to get from either active servo.

The servos don't have power outputs so you're just picking off power from your power switch in the end. It should be fine. I don't recall any cases of someone doing that and having that be a problem.

The servos don't have temperature sensors but they can sense overheating by other means. If the EFIS temporarily limits the torque below your set torque because of this, then it will be reported in the STATUS page/inset.
