Servo Mounting Questions
Does it matter which side of the push rod (arm type) or cable (capstan type) the servo motor is mounted? With the same rotation direction on one side it would "push" and on the other side it would "pull", i.e. move the control surface in the correct direction or move it in the opposite direction ...

Re: Garmin GNC215 and MiniGA
By both devices I mean the GPS175 and GNC215. The GNC ARINC A&B out would just go to the GRT ARINC Module if I went with that connection. While I'm not interested in selecting frequencies from the Mini would the Mini be able to select the OBS course. Could I do that with the ARINC connection or ...

Re: Garmin GNC215 and MiniGA
I didn't know if the GVC215's RS232 used the SL30 format or the Garmin255 format. You mentioned in my Trig question that the Minis at this time didn't recognize the 255 format. Is that beta software update available if I want to use the RS232 through a Serial Port Combiner? Would the settings be the ...

Garmin GNC215 and MiniGA
To follow up on the same question about Trig TX56 and MiniGA compatibility for Nav information, is the Garmin GNC215 compatible with the MiniGA? I see that the GNC215 has both RS232 and ARINC429 outputs.

Re: Garmin GPS175
With a Mini is it necessary to use both the RS-232 and ARINC-429 connections or would just the RS-232 work?

Re: SAP Depiction on MiniGA
Thanks. I have HTS turned off and haven't noticed the boxes with or without the flight director when the approach is captured. I think the "missed" soft key label must hide the GPS CDI and understand there is no separate glide path indication. It would be nice to have "raw data" displayed as a cross ...

Re: SAP Depiction on MiniGA
Ah, so you either need the Flight Director of the boxes selected, there is no independent course deviation indicator or glide path indicator?

Re: Trig TX56 and MiniGA?
Thanks Jeff. Just to confirm it is only necessary to use the RS232 input/output from the TX56 and not use any of the nav data input/outputs on the TX56 44 pin connector? Do you know what the setting on the TX56 under paragraph 6.2.7 CDI Type would be? One option is RS232 Serial Interface, i.e ...

Trig TX56 and MiniGA?
Are the navigation outputs of the Trig TX56 compatible with a MiniGA? If so, can they utilize the serial port combiner and what would the settings be?
