Re: Second power supply
Bob I figured it out today and indeed it is a dimming issue. So let me explain. So I have dual batteries and dual bus. I call them master bat and ESS (essential) bat. Dual EFIS, HXr & HX. Both DU's are supplied off both batteries. I have both both DU's on a external dimmer, power for dimmer off ...

Re: Second power supply
If it was a ground problem the primary voltage input would not work!
If the volts are to low ( which there not) I don't think the
display would even come on.
There is no resistor!

Re: Second power supply
I have dual batteries and dual bus. The second battery is supplying the second power supply to the DU's. The voltage displayed on the HXr is (the only screen I can read) same as battery voltage, enough to run the DU. The primary 12 volt input works fine. I seems like it has something to do with dimm...

Second power supply
I have a HXr & HX. I have a second power supply from a second battery to both units. When powered by the second supply only I get a very dim screen on the HXr and non readable dark screen on the HX. Yes there is power on the HX.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Re: Plasma II+ ignition connection
See EIS manuall pages Figures 5A & 7B in the back of manual. You usually leave the left mag in because of retarding start in it. From your key switch that you landed the left mag wire on run a wire from this terminal (not the ground terminal) through a resistor as shown in figure 7B to terminal ...

Re: Remote mount EIS
Just my two cents on remote mount. I have a HXr and HX with a EIS and now have 50 hours flying behind these. You will find you have to go into the EIS programming many times before you get everything set correctly. If you remote mount it make it easy to get to the screen to get into the programming ...

Voltage Readings
I have discovered that the voltage reading displayed by EFIS can have as much as .5 volt errror! I found on my system with engine not running, that I had a battery voltage reading of 13.2 volts and the EFIS is showing 12.7. GRT confirmed there can be a difference normally of .2 to .5 volts because o...

Re: Flight plan won't activate?

HXr User Guide
There is no actual User guide that I'm aware of for the Hxr as cover page signifies this saying this is for HX, HS & WS. If there is a guide for HXr please point me to it. ( I know there is various supplement HXR instructions) That being said using the above guide there is many items in it the b...
