Re: dual adaptive failure mode
Thank you, that is very helpful. I do have both AHRSs wired to both displays. I now better understand the significance of the "dual ahrs" display.

dual adaptive failure mode
I have dual adaptive AHRS feeding dual Horizon HX. AHRS 1 feeds the left HX (normally PFD) and AHRS 2 feeds the right HX. Yesterday the left PFD was off in pitch. I was VFR so no flight issue, but I realize I know very little about the failure modes of this dual AHARS. Does it alert me that the two ...

Tru Trak Digiflight II display problem
I think I know the answer to this, but in the interest of saving some $, here goes. I have dual HX driving my Tru Trak Digiflight II with vertical. It works great with my HX, but the LCD display on the TT autopilot is dying. Except for the trim display I don't really need the display. It costs more ...

Holding Patterns
In another answer on the forum, the issue of holding pattern display was discussed. I understand GRT EFIS does not show "GAMA 429 graphics." Sure wish it could. I find that the most curious display issue on our screens, that holding patterns don't display.

Re: Display Question
Bob Turner is dead right. I always use the FD when IFR in all phases of flight whether the A/P is in use or not. The FD "displays" what the guidance is being given to the A/P whether installed or not. This is how an airliner is flown all the time.

Mode after missed approach
In the HX user manual dated Sept 2015, the last paragraph of 6.1.1 says that selecting Lat A/P to HDG after capture, the "arm(Capt) is set to off. (This is what happens to me in flight.) The first paragraph of 6.1.2 says the opposite, to set GNAV on hdg after ILS capture. Obviously, I am not un...

Re: No guidance to ILS
I did test this in the air today. Front course did not load at KBKV but accepted the course manually and flew perfectly via flight director and autopilot. At KPIE the front course loaded automatically and flew well also. KBKV LOC frequency had changed in July. That appears to be causing the problem....

Re: No guidance to ILS
Jeff: I tested this in the hangar yesterday using sim mode on the GPS. The localizer front course for KBKV did NOT load automatically and I had not caught that previously in the air. I tried again at KPIE and it did load automatically as I am use to. So there must be something in the database for KB...
