Re: JPI FXT-201 fuel flow in parallel

Running a sensor in parallel with a different instrument can work but it's an unusual setup that the system wasn't designed for. First make sure the FC1 and FC2 are entered properly, and then check the FloCal setting. FloCal should be set to 170 to start with for a FloScan-like sensor. If FloCal was ...

Re: Android 14

Version 2.5.0 is now linked on the Miscellaneous Software page. The new main page will say to tap to download the nav database using the built-in downloader. The Bluetooth status box should say request permission, tap that for the Android permission pop-up, and then it will report connection status ...

Re: remote app for android

I have one more issue to fix, then some testing to confirm everything works, and then I can post it.

Re: SafeFly Gps

We've been using the same antenna for both for many years now. There were some different antennas around the 2016-2019 time period. We had some rectangular ones that just said "GPS Antenna" on the bottom and some had connector adapters and those didn't perform as well with the Safe-Fly. The receiver ...

Re: manuals do not match screens - HELP

It sounds like you found the old WS/HS/HX guide, not a 10.1 guide. There isn't a specific 10.1 guide. The HXr (not HX) and 10.1 have almost the same graphics, so you can look at 10.1 and HXr manuals.

10.1 documentation:

HXr documentation:

Re: From HXr manual - 12.3.5.1.1 Capturing the ILS with ARM

If you switch the EFIS to ENAV before the IFD changes to VLOC, what may be happening is the EFIS then tries to intercept the GPS course, which then lines up with the ILS, and then the IFD now sees you're within auto-VLOC criteria so it switches to VLOC, and then the EFIS sees the ILS indicators so ...

Re: From HXr manual - 12.3.5.1.1 Capturing the ILS with ARM

If you execute without a localizer signal or with a signal beyond the outer dots then the EFIS keeps waiting and takes no immediate action. Everything waits until you are within 2 dots. In HDG mode the EFIS would keep the selected heading already set or you can change the selected heading as ...

Re: From HXr manual - 12.3.5.1.1 Capturing the ILS with ARM

The EXECUTE key was added as suggested by people flying IFR approaches so they could set up the approach before final and only have to push one button to allow the final approach capture.

When one of the approach modes is armed, the EFIS will not change modes and capture the indicators until ...

Re: SafeFly Gps

In our experience the Safe-Fly will usually find a GPS position in less than a minute if it has enough of a view of the sky, and that includes reception through our office roof. The best place to check reception is in SET MENU, Display Unit Maintenance, GPS Status (highlight the line and push the ...
