Re: NAVIGATION DATA UPDATES

The display can only hold one set of navigation data. You can put the file on a USB drive early to get it ready to load. The display loading process has to be triggered manually with the Load Navigation Database function. Once you load the navigation database into the display, the display will start...

Re: secondary power input and auto startup/shutdown

Both my HX and HS reboot after starting. There is a BU Battery. Could it be that this BU is too weak. It's a few years old. Voltage and amperage during preflight and flight seem normal. The EIS 4000 stays on no issues. The BU battery is probably too weak from age or too small for the power demands ...

Re: Bad Elf Wombat GRT support

It looks like they can update a Jeppesen database on a USB drive for the EFIS. Most of our US customers use our free GRT database, and many non-US customers use Jeppesen. It doesn't mention anything about downloading databases from our web site so I don't think it helps with that.

Re: Connector A18

Found this old post. I do not have anything connected to A18. would this be why my flight log data output is dated 2002. My Clock has the right time but doesn't get the date. You can manually load the correct date but it seems to lose it after shut down. Trying to get the correct date on flight log...

Re: Demo Flight Data Resolution (i.e. Sampling Rate)

Demo files record all data. The EIS outputs about 12 messages per second, with the tach updating about twice per second and the other data about 5 times per second. The demo file records all 12 messages. The sampling rate of the EIS can't be changed.

Yes you can reload all of the terrain files. They are big so they are not linked from our web site. I will send an e-mail in a moment.

It should go to its own page if you click on the heading. Here is the full page that works for me:
