Re: Failed to detect AHRS boot - dual AHRS box

It looks like you lost the output connection from the EFIS to your AHRS. You said Serial Port 4 Output so for the 2nd AHRS on a Dual Adaptive AHRS that would be EFIS pin A5 to AHRS pin 18. When AHRS 2 is selected, your magnetometer and accelerometer data is blank because the AHRS has to receive a ...

Re: uAvionix EchoUAT/SkyFyx (generic) interface to GRT HX?

Yes, that is describing the EFIS TMAP interface through the Safe-Fly control interface. The EFIS always send altitude through that interface. uAvionix support has said systems that are already working that way don't really need the echoALT, although they were pushing it for everyone originally. The ...

Re: uAvionix EchoUAT/SkyFyx (generic) interface to GRT HX?

The Fuel/Air Data output includes airspeeds that can be used for automatic mode changes or flight timers, so that can be an advantage. The serial data is higher resolution (25 ft vs 100 ft) but I don't think that does anything for you.

Mode S transponders used to work fine but the FAA started ...

Re: uAvionix EchoUAT/SkyFyx (generic) interface to GRT HX?

They can't sniff some of the information from a Mode S transponder like the 330, squawk or altitude or both.

Our TMAP interface for the echoUAT is only available through our Safe-Fly GPS serial control interface. The other TMAP interface we have is for transponders (that one uses an adapter on an ...

Re: Garmin GPS175 drive the flight director on LPV

The glideslope is only available from an ARINC 429 connection. You can connect one of our GRT ARINC 429 modules to a Mini-GA serial port to get the GPS175 ARINC-429 GPS localizer and glideslope data into the Mini-GA, and that will drive the flight director. The basic lateral course and cross track ...

Re: JPI FXT-201 fuel flow in parallel

Running a sensor in parallel with a different instrument can work but it's an unusual setup that the system wasn't designed for. First make sure the FC1 and FC2 are entered properly, and then check the FloCal setting. FloCal should be set to 170 to start with for a FloScan-like sensor. If FloCal was ...

I have one more issue to fix, then some testing to confirm everything works, and then I can post it.

Re: SafeFly Gps

We've been using the same antenna for both for many years now. There were some different antennas around the 2016-2019 time period. We had some rectangular ones that just said "GPS Antenna" on the bottom and some had connector adapters and those didn't perform as well with the Safe-Fly. The receiver ...
