Re: Garmin GTX 345 - ADSB IN
I finally have confirmed ADS-B IN traffic and weather data from a GTX 345 using its RS-422 output and an EFIS with RS-422 input. The baud rate is 115200 and the menu option in the 345 is "OPT LGCY ADSB". It looks like you can connect this to an RS232 input using GTX345 P3252 pin 12 (RS422...

Re: Garmin GTX 345 - ADSB IN
The current information I have is as-predicted. The EFIS can send altitude data to the 345, and should be able to receive ADS-B traffic from it, but we can't get weather from it. That is what I've been telling everyone for months and no one has told me otherwise. You would have to keep using your S...

Re: Garmin GTX 345 - ADSB IN
As for the 330, my thought it to get a used one and send to Garmin to upgrade it with the ES. They are getting very good prices for them now (under $1000 on e-bay). $1500 for the ES upgrade. You will have a better box that the Trig TT31. ... This is, of course, your opinion, unsupported by fact. TT...

Re: Garmin GTX 345 - ADSB IN
Have their been any updates on this post? I have a pair of the original Horizons and need to make a decision on either the G 330-ES or the G-345. Will these work with the early Horizons?

Re: ILS Glideslope not working on WS
What does your last sentence mean? There are no VORs in your area, or you cannot receive them? On the GRT there is a setting to allow the GRT to toggle the 430 between gps and vloc. When you think you are on the ILS does the 430 read ( near bottom) "VLOC"? Or does it still say "GPS&q...

Re: ILS Glideslope not working on WS
Hi Bob, I will try to answer as best as I can. I don't know some of the answers so if you can direct me how to find out, I would appreciate it. Are you using an ARINC input on the WS, or analog inputs? I am pretty sure we are using ARINC inputs. Will that show up in the settings page? Do you get a g...

ILS Glideslope not working on WS
I have two original Horizon WS units with a G430W. I am not getting any Glide Slope indication for ILS approaches. I do get them for GPS approaches. Is there a setting I can check or something I am missing?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Whenever I reset the fuel quantity by pushing the two buttons on the EIS, the display backlight become very bright and makes it almost impossible to read the numbers. Any ideas or does it need to be sent in.

Fuel flow not changing
I have had a flawless fuel flow indicator for over 10 years. On the last flight, it would not change no matter how much I leaned the engine. I have a Lycoming 0-360 A1A. I also have an early HS EFIS. The readings are the same there. Everything ran as normal except the fuel flow read 14.6 GPH. Any id...
