Re: Discovery ADS-B WiFi Connection

Given that I have the Discovery ADS-B Wi-Fi Connection, Might it be possible, since my iPad is speaking with this device, To ADD the ability RECEIVE my flight plan that is in FOREFLIGHT on my GRT EFIS??????? Future capability is possible. There are no published interfaces for flight plan transfer w...

Re: Fan ventilation for servos

The servos don't have power outputs so you're just picking off power from your power switch in the end. It should be fine. I don't recall any cases of someone doing that and having that be a problem. The servos don't have temperature sensors but they can sense overheating by other means. If the EFIS...

Re: Upgrading to aural warnings

The 10.1 has audio output pins in one of the D-sub connectors. Usually these wires have not been installed unless the builder has installed them or someone told their installer to install them. Wires have to be installed into the Connector "B" 25-pin D-sub on the back of the 10.1 display a...

Re: Roll Trim required message

You can leave the body in as long as it doesn't interfere with the safety operation. It is held in by red loctite so trying to remove it is not recommended. There are 2 more holes in the cylinder shear base that you can rotate under the arm. The shear screw is a custom part. You have to order it fro...

Re: Software Updates

Usually the problem is that your web browser has changed the name of the file by adding numbers and dashes or parentheses. Many browsers now automatically rename the file if they know you've downloaded a file with the same name before. Check the name of the HHXRUp.dat file on your drive. If it has a...

Re: Altude adjustment

Altimeter Calibration is described in the HXr User Manual in the Altimeter Calibration section. You can calibrate with just the field elevation and altimeter pressure setting (Partial) or from zero all the way up to your plane's maximum using a test set (Full). Re: Rotax Oil Press

There is no easy way to make them compatible. An EIS made with more current processor hardware (roughly since the year 2008-2009 and around serial number 19800) can be internally modified by us to do it.

Re: Warning limits

The remote EIS doesn't have independent limits so that is something you can only do with a non-remote EIS.

Re: Jabiru tachometer lighting coil alternatives

Did you change the Tach Sensitivity (Tach1Sen) to High? Electronic ignition tach signals are often low voltage and require the High sensitivity setting.

1. Tach2 requires hardware and I think it was added in 2009 along with version 75.

Re: Roll Trim required message

Is it still holding courses and turning to new courses or is it also performing poorly? When the EFIS sends a bunch of commands to the servo in a short period of time but the plane doesn't respond, it issues a TRIM REQUIRED alarm. The roll servo doesn't measure force so the EFIS doesn't actually kno...
