GNS430 flight plan not displayed on cross side Hx
I have two Hx displays and two GPS receivers. GPS 1 is a Garmin GNS 430W and GPS 2 is the ADAHRS internal GPS. GPS 1 is connected to the pilot side Hx and GPS 2 is connected to the passenger side Hx. GPS 1 is configured as ‘external’ flight plan and GPS 2 is configured as ‘internal’ flight plan. Whe...

Re: V 7 ... audio alerts ...
I have the audio output of one GRT Hx connected to an unswitched audio input on my Audio Panel. I am using the .wav audio files that RV-HXr made available. Both displays were recently updated to the latest software (vers 11.01). The only audio warning that I don't hear is "TRAFFIC and this is t...

Android App - User Defined Waypoints
Add the ability to create user defined (lat/long) way points in the Android Application. A single format format for creating the waypoint ex: degrees, decimal minutes would be adequate. Update 1/24/2019: Here is a work around that allows you to implement user defined waypoints into flight plans that...

Re: ARINC 429 Channel Port configuration for HXr
Pretty sure the Hxr is the same as the Hx for the ARINC 429 configuration. It's in the Set Menu under General Setup. The setting option used to configure the ARINC is the "Arinc Module Connected" setting. If you can't find a details in the Hxr manuals, download the HX, HS & WS Set Up &...

User Defined Waypoints
Is it possible to create a USER defined waypoint when creating a flight plan in the App? I like using the android app a lot and it would be really nice to be able to insert my own way points when building a flight plan in the App rather than have to go in and edit the flight plan via the EFIS menu a...

FreeFlight GPS format
Implement RS-232 serial interface option for the FreeFlight Systems GPS data format. FreeFlight Systems RANGR FDL-978-XVR is one of the ADS-B transceivers that can be connected to GRT EFIS for display of traffic etc. The FDL-978-XVR outputs its internal GPS data (Class Beta 1, TSO-C145c) on an RS-23...

Remote Airdata Module
Just noticed that there is a relatively new document (Jan 2018) for wiring a "Remote Air Data Module" in the EFIS Accessoriies Support Section. Don't see any mention of it anywhere else on the GRT website. Any one care to speculate on what it's intended use is?

Re: Where the hell is the doc on calibrating fuel level sens
GRT has a document that can be downloaded from their website that explains/details how to connect and calibrate resistive fuel senders with the EIS. It is located in the "EIS Engine Monitor" area in the "Support" section on the GRT website. The title of the document is: "Cal...

Re: hall effect current and blue wire? resistor?
The Hall Effect sensor blue wire (4.8V) input just gets connected directly to the EIS 4.8V Sensor Excitation Output (pin 25).

Re: 27k ohm or 39
The words in the EIS User Manual (Rev L) only mention installing a 27K Ohm resistor between the instrument and the mag P-lead. I found the info quoted below in the Dynon Skyview install manual about what value resistor to use with the Dynon EMS which might help explain why GRT ships both resistor va...
