GRT Avionics

Thanks for the reply Bob. I will try your troubleshooting steps. The GTN does not have any errors at all and has always functioned normally. Where would I find the previous software version? The GRT web pg only has the latest one. ( I see now that a good habit would be to keep both on your USB stick).

Ever since the last software update my HXr drops communication with my GTN650 15 minutes or so into the flight. A red GPS 1 Fail is annunciated on the Primary Flight Display. Happens every flight. Boots up fine, works for a bit, then they just stop communicating. No associated serial warning either....

With the Skyradar, can you remote mount it? If so what do you do with the antennas?

Let's say I am in the sequence mode following a flight plan, and get clearance from atc to a point well down the line. How do I go direct to that point without leaving the sequence mode, so as to not lose my waypoint string following the new direct to point?

Upon closer look, the update is only 6.7 mb. The original usb stick from GRT is 64 mb so I don't see where there is a problem. I have free'd up plenty of space but I still get the notice for some reason.

The newest NAVData update doesn't fit on my usb stick (that GRT supplied). It says there is not enough space. GRT: fyi
