The blue crossed-out areas of the map are part of the ADS-B RADAR function. The EFIS hasn't received data for those areas. This is to prevent confusing a no-precipitation area with a no-data area. ADS-B sends radar data in small rectangles over several minutes. The crossed-out areas near you should be replaced as you receive more ADS-B radar data. They aren't shown if you have no radar data at all.
