Backing up user settings is described on page 7-1 of the Set Up Guide. Go into the set up menus, select Display Unit Maintenance, select back up settings.

As I said earlier I was wrong, you can indeed dump the data to a memory stick.
A sample of what you get is shown on the left, what I would like is a listing with item numbers as shown on the right:
