Fuel Pressure Not Working

Post by bdtopp »

I ran the engine for the first time and discovered that I am not getting any indication of fuel pressure on the EIS or HX EFISs. I have the 80psi VDO type sensor. This was confirmed by GRT a few months back when I gave them the part number. The fuel pressure reading is -0.4 psi with the engine off, and, running. I have the fuel sensor connected to AUX 1 on the EIS. Here is what I have tried thus far.

1. I have continuity between EIS PIN 23 (AUX 1) and the sensor
2. I have programmed the EIS with the following values per the instructions. AUX1SF = 91, AUX1OFF = 15, AUX Sensing +
3. I have installed the 301ohm resistor per the wiring diagram of the fuel sensor. Resistor was verified by testing with an OHM meter prior to install.
3. When I disconnect the wire from the sensor, the fuel pressure reading changes from -0.4 psi to 16.4 psi

If anybody has any other ideas I could try it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
