Oil temperature sensor failure

Hello, I have a FT-LC-01 oil temperature sensor feeding an EIS 4000 and then two Sport SHS EFISes.
Today my oil temperature jumped erratically from normal to 15°C (60 F) then back again a few times before staying put at 15°C.
I could only do a little troubleshooting. To help me somewhat, is this the indication of a wiring problem or of a sensor failure?
Regards
Pascal

It could be an indication of either one. if there is a short to ground or if there is an intermittent open, they both can cause erratic indications. check out your wiring, for continuity and for short to ground. you dont find any issues then it may be the sender. If it happens more and more frequently then you should get a new sensor.

Thanks,
I'll troubleshoot the wiring and I already ordered a new sensor.
