I am looking for a solution to a tone out for a Sport EFIS.

Questions:
1. Does the "pin out" for the furture "tone out pin" currently send out a signal?
2. If so, is it ground or positive.
3. Does the tone out silence when acknowledge on the EFIS?
Trying to wire in a tone generator into the mix . I have Sport SX and a remote mounted EIS in a Cozy MKIV.

You could use the warning light out pin to drive a tone generator, 12 volts equals on, zero volts equals off. Then acknowledging an alarm on the efis would turn it off.

I watch the video and when you ack the alarm the tone continued. If I am wrong does acking the alarm reset it so if a new alarm comes up the tone sounds again?

				Okay
Here is my gripe. The red light is redudant, the EFIS already shows an out of normal condition. What is needed is a tone out. It needs to be ackable and silenced until a new warning is sent.

Yes it goes out with the light. I had multiple alarms.
And I agree. Light is useless. Need voice alerts.

Warren Gretz emailed me he is working on voice alerts, but not a priority. I told him I would take 3 that voice: canopy, gear, caution. I hope he developes a voice alert. He has several great products that fill a niche in a lot of missing " That would be neat to have" in several products.
Maybe the GRT guys should ask and work with him to come up with some fixes to users wants.
