GRT Avionics

I ran my engine for the first time and discovered that the Oil Temp was not working on the EIS or HX EFIS's. Here is what I have done thus far in an attempt to figure out the problem.

1. I have verified that there is continuity from EIS D-sub connector Pin 15 to the Oil Temp Sensor.
2. I have a good ground on the other wire on the Oil Temp Sensor
3. I removed the Oil Temp Sensor and measured the resistance across the two Sensor Wires as I heated the probe with a heat gun. Resistance decreased rapidly so it appeared to be working.

Any other ideas I can try?

New to the forum. DId you ever sort this Oil temp sensor issue? I'm experiencing a similar issue.

I did. There was an issue with the EIS. I sent it back to GRT for repair and it's working great. I don't have any details on what the issue was with the EIS box. If you have tried all the test I did mentioned previously in the post, you may want to talk to GRT about sending back.
