ADS-B suppression question

Regarding ADS-B receiver installation, some are hardwired and some transmit via Bluetooth or WiFi. For the portables that function via wirelessly, how does the suppression function work? My specific application is the Trig TT22 transponder and likely the Dual XGPS170. Not sure how I get the suppression out function of the UAT and into the transponder.

Can someone explain? Thanks

I am no expert but I do not think you need to hook up the transponder suppression line. The Dual receiver (not transceiver - the T in UAT) operates on a different frequency than the Trig. If you meant how do you suppress yourself as a potential traffic aircraft, that is done by software in the GRT.

Thanks. I received a very good reply and explanation on VAF forums. Essentially as you say, the Dual receiver hooks via USB to the HXr and the GRT software then does all the suppression once USB ADS-B is turned on in the HXr setup.
