I am fitting a new (current model) Rotax 912 and am baffled about how to complete the wire leads to my older Legacy 3 EIS. On cylinders 2 & 3 the existing wire leads are 2 wire blades (going into the EIS), wchich are left over from the old Rotax engine. What do I need?
Thanks much

Two Wire CHT Leads on Rotax 912 & Legacy 3
Re: Two Wire CHT Leads on Rotax 912 & Legacy 3
Skot,
The Legacy 3 EIS has two CHT inputs. Usually with a Rotax, GRT supplies a ring style CHT sensor which you attach to the cylinder head using the temp sensor supplied by Rotax like a bolt. You can also just take out the Rotax sensors and use metric bolts to attach the ring style thermocouples. GRT sells them as CHT10-01. Do not try to use the Rotax sensors and do not try to put the GRT ring sensors under the spark plug.
I hope this helps. Ask more questions if you need to.
