External Gps

I have Garmin 18x pc available to use, it has a 1 second refresh.
My question is will the 18x be acceptable or should I get the 18x 5hz?

Rob,
I've got the 18xPC and the 1 sec refresh is just fine. Don't notice any delay in my position data at all. Of course if you have a 500mph plane, you'll want the 5hz refresh!

The EFIS can work with any refresh rate. Most GPS units are 1 sec. The AHRS is 15 Hz and the EFIS will use it to fill in the gaps.
