Bad Elf Wombat GRT support
Is there any support for GRT products (HXr) by the Bad Elf Wombat product? The Bad Elf Wombat webpage list GRT as a supported product but I can’t figure out what kind of support it might offer. Here is the page: https://bad-elf.com/pages/wombat-piston The Wombat - Piston Edition is a little WiFi box...

Low oil pressure message while HX displays normal pressure
I suddenly started to get 'low oil pressure' messages in flight. They seem to occur randomly but multiple times per flight. At the same time, the oil pressure displayed on my HX is constant and within specs without any momentary excursions when the message appears. I did do a time in service replace...

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
UPDATE: The wing rocking problem has been solved! SUMMARY: The wing rocking that only occurs when the TT AP is being driven by the GRT HX or HXr EFIS, can be eliminated by increasing 2 settings within the TT AP unit: 1) LATERAL ACTIVITY =5 (or greater) 2) MICRO ACTIVITY =10 (currently testing settin...

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
Bill, I can’t find anything on the TT web site about a ‘Programmer’ model. There is a manual for the Digiflight II VS which agrees with my previous post - that you have to push the mode button until displaying ‘GPSS’ to get it to accept external commands. Yours must be a rare model. Perhaps you can...

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
I have the DII VSGV; DIGIFLIGHT II VS GPSS V PPROGRAMMER manufactured sometime before 2011. Normally I have it switched to the GRT HX or HXr. In that mode of operation, all I do is turn the AP on by pressing the black knob. From that point on, I generally don't touch the AP and operate it all modes ...

Summary of Wing Rocking Problem when HX or HXr is driving TT
Problem: Whenever the GRT HXr is driving the TruTrak Autopilot, my RV-10 wings rock with a period of approximately 4 seconds. It sickens passengers and is driving this builder/pilot a bit crazy. - This problem occurs in all GRT AP modes; ENAV, GNAV, and Heading modes. - It occurs independent of any ...

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
Did you try Jeff's suggestion? Let the 430 drive the TT; watch the efis carefully. Does the AI or heading indicator (tape) ever "twitch" (even if the plane is rock-solid level)? I'm really curious as what can be going on here. I'm missing where Jeff's suggestion made(?) Maybe I misunderst...

Re: When HX (now HXr) is driving TT AP it constantly wing ro
Bill, you’re right. If the TT, by itself, runs okay, that should rule out loose brackets. This is another guess you could try fairly easily: for my Trio, I switch all 3 lines (ARINC pair, plus serial) when going from direct gps to autopilot, to HX to autopilot. I don’t think TT recommends that, but...
