iCom A210 Serial Connection

I connected the RS-232 input and output on the A210 radio to a serial in/out on the HXr. What settings should I use to enable control of the radio through the EFIS? Will the EFIS also feed a GPS string to the radio?

Configure the serial port for rate 9600 and output SL40-1. As far as I know the A210 doesn't send any status info. You can try SL40-1 for the input but I don't think it will do anything to update the frequency status shown on the HXr. The EFIS can send standby frequency commands and lists through the airport details page. I don't know if you can set the active frequency or swap them from the EFIS since that is a more advanced function than most GPS interfaces.
