Sensed AoA algorithm inputs

Does the sensed AoA depend on inputs other than the two ports in the pitot tube?

Someone recently experienced a static blockage with Dynon's AoA, which adversely affected the calculated AoA: https://vansairforce.net/threads/close- ... al.238764/

I assumed the same would apply to GRT, but one commenter says that Garmin's AoA doesn't rely on the static pressure.

Yes, ours depends on the static pressure. The pitot input pressure is measured relative to static, and the AOA input pressure is measured relative to static, and then we compare the relative pitot and AOA pressures.
