I am installing the pitch auto pilot servo and noticed that it does not look like the roll auto pilot servo. Seems like the back part of the servo "popped out" or something. is this ok?
The Stepper motor floats and moves in the gear case a small amount and the movement is measured and fed back to the controller so it can know and ask for pitch trim adjustments. Make sure nothing touches or rubs on the motor or it can generate false trim requests.
I learned this the hard way when I mounted a Adel clamp on the servo mount screw holes, took a while to find but I had great help from TT

This is normal, the pitch servo has a trim sensing system in it that mounts the motor to the servo and makes it look like it "floats". It does allow some movement of the motor but that needs to be there to allow the trim sensing to work.
