EFIS Displays

Horizon HXr EFIS

One look at the HXr and you sense the situational awareness provided by the large screen and its wide field of view. A view that feels almost as natural as looking out the window and reaches out 30 miles. The pilot-selectable insets provide maps, traffic, engine monitoring, weather, traffic alerts, custom checklists, and even geo-referenced sectionals or en-route charts. Insets are also the key to keeping the PFD view unchanged so that your instrument scan remains unchanged. Remote control up to two Com radios, two Nav radios, transponder, intercom, and audio panel. The HXr works with a variety of leading avionics manufacturers, so you will never be locked into one brand for your interfacing remote avionics.

All HXr packages include an external Adaptive AHRS and wiring harness. Touchscreen available for 8.4″ and 10.4″ HXr for an additional $400 per display.

Horizon HX EFIS

The HX is a no-compromise EFIS with a compact 6.5” screen. It is built around a high speed processor that typically operates at 20% capacity while providing a 30-mile synthetic vision view. Interfacing is extensive to support dual redundancy for AHRS and radios.  The size allows two screens to be located in front of the pilot, even in compact cockpits. The HX is the ideal solution for the pilot that wants the comfort provided by redundancy, and who depends on this equipment to fulfill his missions.

All HX packages include an external Apdaptive AHRS and wiring harness.

Sport SX

At first glance, it is difficult to tell the difference between the Sport SX, and our flagship, the Horizon HX. When equipped with the optional synthetic vision, the 10-mile vision range keeps you well aware of terrain, and generates 3-D way-points, obstacles and runways. Five serial ports and USB provides for connectivity with ADS-B, com and navigation radios, autopilots and much, much more. The Sport SX includes the new Adaptive AHRS technology, digital magnetometer and internal GPS. A starting price of only $2600 makes this an unbeatable value for any the VFR or light IFR airplanes. All Sport SX systems include wiring harnesses.

Sport EX

The Sport EX puts a Primary Flight Display EFIS in your panel at an unbeatable price. Software options let you purchase what you need now, and expand later, without removing the EX from your panel. Built on more than two decades of avionics experience, and using the industry’s only AHRS that can operate unaided, the base model provides primary flight functions and engine pages which can be driven by any GRT EIS engine monitor. Bluetooth ready (dongle required).

The perfect upgrade from a Horizon WS, or a high-value display unit with for use with any GRT AHRS or AHRS equipped Sport. Includes synthetic vision, IFR autopilot function (vertical commands), moving map, ADS-B displays, Bluetooth interface, and 6 Serial Ports. Touch screen option available.

Mini Series

The Mini is not a compromised instrument. It is a complete EFIS capable of synthetic vision, with a GPS navigator, and incorporating the same technology that made GRT famous for its high-integrity AHRS.  It is completely suitable as the primary instrument in your panel or as a backup for attitude, heading, track, airspeed, altitude and VSI. Highly readable airspeed/altimeter tapes and rotating drum-style digital display. Free database updates for all US territory. Jeppesen databases available worldwide. Simple installation – power, ground and mount GPS antenna on your dash. Incorporates a full AHRS (internal) solution that does not require GPS or air data to provide attitude data. Engine display capable (requires EIS) on all models except Mini-B manufactured after 1/1/18. Bluetooth ready (dongle required).

Mini-GA

The Mini-GA is a portable electronic device especially designed for the certified aircraft that brings terrain and obstacles to your panel.   It is a reassuring reference when flying in instrument conditions, and greatly improves situational awareness, VFR or IFR.  Rotating drums and tapes are driven by GPS data, making GPS derived altitude and speed data, as well as their rate-of-change easily observable. Internal or external GPS navigation and steering data is provided on the PFD.  Highway-in-the sky guidance is provided to any runway in the database. The addition of the external magnetometer adds heading and winds for further situational awareness.

Autopilot

Every GRT Avionics display unit, from the first WS, through our HXr flagship, as well as the Mini-EFIS, is capable of performing as an autopilot control head.  Just connect one or two servos and we will fly you from just after takeoff, to just before touchdown.  We will couple you to your approach and fly you to your selected altitude…and much more!*

*Vertical autopilot functions are optional with some display units.

The EIS R66 Engine Monitor is a remote only version of our popular EIS engine monitor. Capable of monitoring up to six cylinders, the R66 includes a built-in manifold pressure sensor and has fuel flow monitoring capability (sensor required). All configuration is done through the EFIS display for a fast and easy set uo. Compatible with all current GRT Avionics EFIS systems (except Mini-B).
